We all love meat dishes, and most of them we prepare ourselves at home, but does anyone know how to make the perfect Swiss Steak? Preparing perfect Swiss Steak is easier than it seems, so here is one such recipe.

For preparing the perfect Swiss Stake Recipe, you need the following ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs round steak;
  • 1/2 cup flour;
  • Two onions;
  • Two carrots;
  • Can of tomatoes with juice;
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder;
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper;
  • 50ml olive oil.

How do I cut a Swiss Steak perfectly?

The first step in preparing a steak is to determine the right thickness of the meat. It should never be thin – the thickness of the steak should be 3 cm, weighing about 250 g for one person. Cut the steak into pieces. It can be cut straight (about 200-250g). It can also be cut under a slight slope, for pieces heavier than 250g.

How do I prepare a perfectly juicy Swiss Steak?

The second step relates to marinating the steak. There is a big difference between a steak that was in the marinade for 2 hours and one that was for two days. We advise you to leave it in the marinade for a whole day to stand in the fridge. Beefsteak prepared in this way will be soft but also very juicy.

Ingredients for beef steak marinade:

  • Pepper;
  • Olive oil;
  • Garlic powder;
  • Tomatoes with juice
  • Oregano;
  • Mustard.

Put all the ingredients in a deeper bowl and mix until it gets a thick texture. Put the steak in the marinade and leave it in the fridge to stand for one day before preparation.

Does steak preparation take a long time?

If you want the perfect Swiss Steak, then you need a lot of patience to prepare it.

  1. Remove the meat from the refrigerator at least 2 hours before you plan to prepare it. Beefsteak should be room temperature when preparing;
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees;
  3. Heat the grill pan at a higher temperature. Do not add oil because your steak has already been marinated in oil;
  4. Salt the side of the meat you are going to bake first and add a little flour. You can use sea salt because it is larger;
  5. Put the steak in the pan and leave it to bake for 3 minutes. Fry two steaks in a pan to have the perfect taste;
  6. Salt the other side, add flour and grill it;
  7. When the steak gets the color, transfer it to the oven and bake for ten minutes.
  8. Serve the Swiss Steak with grilled onions and carrots for complete enjoyment in this royal meal.
