The secret behind the Rasmalai sweet in Bengal

Rasmalai is the famous and most liked sweet of Indian people and this sweet originated from West Bengal.The word itself has been divided into two with meaning ras means juice and malai means cream. This is also considering a dessert that is served in most of the wedding parties and on other occasions. You can also taste rasmalai by placing an order online from different portals and compare the rasmalai price and quantity to taste the best one. Here is the thing to know about the rasmalai sweet.

Ingredients in rasmalai:

Rasmalai is made up of rich ingredients and it is quite simple and easy to make. Once you keep a mouth of rasmalai it completely melts in your mouth and it makes sense again and again. Here are the rich ingredients that are used to make rasmalai sweet.

  • Fresh milk
  • Vinegar or lime juice
  • Rosewater
  • Cardamom
  • Strands of saffron
  • Pistachios chopped
  • Almonds chopped
  • Sugar
  • Refined flour

Milk is the foremost ingredient used and it is completely based on milk to dip the squeezed rasgullas to add in the boiled and thickened milk. Adding sugars to milk makes it a delicious sweet and mouth-watering. Sugar is the base ingredient in the rasmalai dish and that highlights the sweetness of the dish.

Better taste:

You can serve rasmalai hot and cold when it is chilled you will get double the taste. You can garnish it with dry fruits and nuts that will make it a rich dish, the nuts like chopped almonds, chopped pistachios, and standard saffron and Kesar can be added to it to get the better flavor and taste. You can make it better by adding some cardamom powder or crushed that gives flavor and good aroma when mixed with milk.

Preparation method of rasmalai sweet:

The preparation methods for rasmalai consist of two parts and they are rasmalai balls preparation and the thickened milk or the ras. Here is the recipe to make delicious rasmalai.

Rasmalai balls:

  • Take a pan and boil full cream milk when the milk gets cooked well add some water and then vinegar or lime juice till the milk gets curdled.
  • Use a strainer to drain out the water and rinse without the traces of lemon juice or vinegar. Strain the water for 15- 20 minutes then squeeze out the remaining water.
  • To the chena add cornflour and set it for 10 minutes and using your palm mash it well and then make small balls out of it. Make sugar syrup and add the balls and wait till it enlarges.

Method of preparing milk:

  • Soak some saffron into warm milk and take a pan, boil milk, add sugar, when the milk is cooked ass saffron and the balls.
  • Add chopped almonds and pistachios to the milk and serve it hot or cold.
